Your rides are yours.

RevRev (“the App”) is made by Cull Ventures (“we”). This policy explains what the App collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to be read.

What we collect

• AccountYour phone number (used to sign in with a one-time SMS code), a first name, and optionally an email, riding experience, bike make/model and a parking address you choose to enter.
• LocationPrecise GPS position, speed, course and altitude, sampled while a ride is recording — including in the background with the screen locked. Traces are stored on your device and backed up, under your account, so they follow you to a new phone.
• MotionAccelerometer, gyroscope and attitude data from your iPhone while recording, used to detect stops, launches and cornering smoothness. Processed on-device and backed up with the ride.
• MicrophoneOptional. Engine pitch, sampled a few times a second while you ride, so the coach can tell lugging from revving. Analysed on-device; the audio itself is not kept or uploaded — only the pitch numbers are saved with the ride.
• WeatherRide conditions come from Apple WeatherKit and street names from Apple geocoding. Your location is sent to Apple for those lookups under Apple’s privacy terms.
• UsageProduct analytics (PostHog, hosted in the United States) about how the App is used — screens opened, rides started and scored, settings changed — tied to a random device id and, once you sign in, your account id. Never your location, your traces, your phone number or your name. Turn it off any time in Account → Share usage analytics.
• DiagnosticsStandard Apple crash reports if you have sharing enabled in iOS. They never include location data.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t run advertising SDKs. We don’t build a social feed or leaderboard from your rides. We don’t use your ride data to train models. We don’t share GPS coordinates with any third party except as needed to deliver a feature you asked for (see WeatherKit and geocoding above).

Where it lives

Ride recordings and scores are stored on your iPhone and are included in your standard encrypted iOS backup. They are also backed up under your account with our storage provider, Supabase, in the United States, so they come back when you sign in on a new phone. Your account (phone number, first name, and optional profile fields) is stored with Supabase too. Sessions are kept in the iOS Keychain on your device.

When you ask for help

If you write to support about a ride that scored oddly or didn’t save, a RevRev admin may open your ride recordings and your recent app activity to work out what happened. We look only at what the question needs, every such look is logged, and your traces never leave our systems except to the admin’s own machine when a recording has to be examined.

Your choices

You can decline microphone access and the App simply rides quiet. You can deny background location, but the App cannot score a ride without it. You can switch usage analytics off in Account. You can delete your whole account, and everything we hold about you with it, from Account — see Delete your account. Per-ride delete and export are coming. Questions: support@revrev.app.

Children

RevRev is for licensed riders and is not directed at anyone under 17. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the App will tell you before the change applies. The effective date at the top is always the current version.

The deal.

1. 01You ride, you decideRevRev is coaching software, not a safety device and not a substitute for training, judgement or the law. Suggestions are suggestions. You are solely responsible for how, where and when you ride.
2. 02Eyes on the roadThe App is designed for the phone to stay in your pocket. Never interact with your phone while the motorcycle is moving. Local laws on device use apply to you, not to us.
3. 03EligibilityYou must be 17 or older and hold whatever license your jurisdiction requires to operate a motorcycle on public roads.
4. 04Your accountOne rider per account. Keep your phone secure; anyone who can receive your SMS code can sign in. Tell us if you suspect misuse.
5. 05Your contentYour rides, scores and profile are yours. You grant us only the license needed to store, process and display them back to you inside the App.
6. 06AccuracyScores are estimates from consumer phone sensors and GPS. They can be wrong, especially in tunnels, dense cities and pockets that flap. Treat them as a mirror, not a verdict.
7. 07Acceptable useDon’t reverse-engineer the App, scrape the service, or use it to encourage unsafe riding by yourself or others.
8. 08Changes & endingWe may change or discontinue features. You can stop using RevRev and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
9. 09Warranty & liabilityThe App is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from riding, from reliance on coaching, or from use of the App. Some jurisdictions don’t allow this limit; where so, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
10. 10Governing lawThese Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Alameda County.

Apple’s standard EULA applies.

RevRev is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these Terms and the standard EULA conflict, the EULA governs your license to the software; these Terms govern the service and your account. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the EULA and may enforce it against you.

Delete your account.

Two ways. Both remove your profile, phone number and cloud ride backups from our systems and sign you out on every device. In-app deletion also erases the ride recordings on your phone. Usage analytics tied to your account id are purged within 30 days.

Something scored wrong, a ride didn’t save, a permission won’t stick — write to support@revrev.app. Include your iPhone model and iOS version. We answer within two business days, and to do that we may look at the ride in question — see the privacy policy above.
